Clinton Rogier
Highland High School Class of 1937
Clinton Rogier graduated from Highland High School in 1937. He was a member of the first graduating class at the new school on Lindenthal Avenue.
Clinton owned and operated Rogier Insurance Agency from 1940-1979, which was started by his father in 1930. In 1979 he became President and eventually Chairman of the Board for Madison Mutual Insurance Company in Edwardsville, IL, retiring in 2004. Clinton served on many Boards of organizations such as The Bank of Edwardsville, Shurtleff Fund Corp., and Tri Ford, Inc., among others. He volunteered his time on other Boards such as SIU-E Foundation, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Greater Edwardsville Area Community Foundation and others. Clinton was active in his church serving Hudelson Baptist Children’s Home and Past President of the Illinois Baptist Convention.
Clinton was a lifelong Rotarian with many awards locally, statewide and internationally. Clinton had 53+ years of perfect attendance. Clinton died in April of 2012 at the age of 92.
