Jerry Dauderman - Business
Jerry Dauderman graduated from Highland High School in 1962. He attended Harvard University and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in 1966. Jerry then attended Harvard Business School and received his M.B.A. with highest distinction in 1970.
Mr. Dauderman was Director of Church World Service in the Dominican Republic in 1968. He was Director of Social Services and an ordained missionary, serving the poor people of the Dominican Republic with many church denominations participating. After leaving Church World Services, Jerry became President of Textiles Pepalta in Medellin, Colombia in 1973. This $20 million dollar company was the leading pro- ducer of certain textiles exported to the United States. Colombia became a dangerous country during this time period and Jerry moved back to the U.S. Jerry became Vice President of Fidelity Union Life Insurance Company in Dallas, Texas in 1976. From 1976 through 1992, Jerry was the Founder, President, owner and operator of Nautilus Plus Fitness in Irvine, California. In 1992, Jerry also founded Nautilus Physical Ther- apy. The companies employed 900 people with 30 sites in the western U.S. He sold the business in 1993 to Bally Manufacturing, owners of Bally Total Fitness, a national corporation. Jerry has also been part owner and on the Board of Directors for JSG Oil Pipe in China, CEO for Blackhawk Casino in Colorado, and from 1993 to the present time Jerry is on the Board and Executive Committee of CT Realty/Real Estate in Cali- fornia which is a billion dollar real estate development and sales company in California.
Jerry has many other interests: Board of Directors and Treasurer for the Orange County Museum of Art and on the Board of Directors for Bowers Museum. Jerry is also on the Board of “Think Together”, a non-profit organization offering over 300 after school and summer programs for children. Jerry is very involved with the Institute for Global Engage- mentinPakistan. TheIGEisathink-and-dotankattheforefrontoftheemergingfieldof religion and global affairs. Jerry has traveled to Pakistan and the Middle East extensively for IGE. Jerry is very active in his church serving on the Board of Deacons as Mission and Stewardship chairman. He is also on the Pacific Council on International Policy, a non-partisan organization focused on policy issues of special resonance on the Westcoast.
