Terry Riffel - Business
Terry Riffel graduated from Saint Paul High School in 1960. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
He started his business career as office clerk at Highland Machine and Screw Products Company in 1963. Terry then advanced to Secretary, Purchasing Agent, Vice President and served as President of the company from 1990-2000. He retired in 2001. During his presidency of the company he completed a 43,000 square foot expansion project. He currently serves as Vice-President of Highland Spring and Specialty Company. Additionally Terry served as Trustee for the Teamster and Employees Welfare Trust of Illinois for over 18 years. His leadership helped them triple their assets. Mr. Riffel also served in several capacities with the American Association of the Industrial Management Council.
Very active in community activities, Mr. Riffel has served: Faith Countryside Homes, Highland Area Community Foundation (currently Executive Director), the Highland Business Alliance, St. Paul Education Foundation, St. Paul Board of Education, Highland Manufacturers’ Association. Highland Chamber of Commerce, St. Joseph Hospital Advisory Board, St. Paul Parish and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Additionally, Mr. Riffel served on the Highland City Council, held state and regional Jaycee offices and participated in the SIUE Business Advisory Council.
